It will be interesting to see how/if Wardle is able to motivate this year's team for games like this. His annual "no one is respecting us...the basketball world thinks we are crap" mantra doesn't apply this year. This whole "Prove 'em right" motto is certainly a new one...and probably an uncomfortable message for him to try and lean into.
This is the type of game where a team that is picked almost unanimously to be the class of the MVC could struggle in...certainly is the possibility that a lot of our guys might feel like we can just show up and roll the ball out there and we'll be able handle a 7th place OVC team...
Hopefully the veteran leaders of this team will be able to keep guys focused on the task at hand...really don't want to have another early season post-game show where we have to listen to "it's a struggle for our shooters because we don't get to practice much in this building..."...or "this was SEMOs SuperBowl...they've had this game circled as the most important one on their schedule since the day it was announced"...
Just win and move on to the next one.

I’m looking for a much more focused , energized and engaged team tonite. With less subbing and increased starters minutes it should be less chaotic.
It seemed like once we got that big lead guys lost focus and coasted . Who knows. Glad we were tested somewhat because what do you learn from. 40 point blowout. Hopefully there were plenty of teaching moments but they should be more execution and less mental due to this being a veteran team.
Agree …. absolutely NO reason this group isn’t ready …. Or to come out flat. If prove em is the motto then do just that. Don’t get Wardle any reasons to make up stoopid excuses because there shouldn’t be any.

Bradley is starting the season ranked 10th best nationally in home floor advantage (via Pomeroy).

As of right now the Bradley-SEMO game isn't listed on the upcoming schedule on the ESPN app on Roku. All of the other MVC games tomorrow night appear to be listed. I'm not sure who is in charge of that (on campus, ESPN, other, etc) but hopefully it gets figured out before tip. It’s there in the ESPN app…. But for Friday at 7. This has been corrected on the ESPN app and showing 7 PM tip tonight. |

Which means a down parka with two pair of socks may be advisable. |
