Not exactly "news" as this happened earlier this week, but still worth the mention. The Orsborn Award is the most prestigious athletic award issued by Bradley University to a current student, and open to all student athletes, not just men's basketball.

While fellow countryman Rienk Mast won the award in 2023, the last previous winner from men's basketball was Tom Les in 1975.

There was no award given in 1986, and there was only one other year that happened. It is supposed to to go to a graduating senior, I don't think Hersey graduated on time in 1988.
