I don’t see a move that actually moves the needle. Nor do I see Bradley as attractive to the only two possibilities- the A10 or the Big East (which I know isn’t even a possibility). |

CUSA needed MSU more than anything else. I see an eventual East/West split of that league as it has rebuilt.
You can build a premium Big East Lite basketball-only league out of the A10 and Valley (and cherry-picking and odd member or three from a few other leagues).
That would be about the only scenario where Bradley has an opportunity to go anywhere, because the A10 isn't likely interested either, unless it wants to wholesale absorb the Valley just to eliminate part of the competition.

They weren’t drawing 2k by the end of basketball season. If we want the valley to be a basketball first conference, I have a hard time shedding any tear we’re losing Missouri state. I think there’s upgrades available that would bring more basketball focus and investment.

They weren’t drawing 2k by the end of basketball season. If we want the valley to be a basketball first conference, I have a hard time shedding any tear we’re losing Missouri state. Dropping to 10 costs you 2 conference games; and I know Valpo sucks, but if you added 2 more non-con games they wouldn't be much better and would likely cost $175,000 - $200,000. Stick with 11 and play a true 20 game round robin MVC schedule. |

Grand Canyon and Seattle are going to the WCC. I would be surprised if we don't hear of a Gonzaga move soon next.

The Valley needs to look at picking off a few top teams from the Summit, OVC, ASUN, Horizon, MAC... There are several potential good basketball schools that can be poached from those conferences to strengthen the MVC basketball resume for the long term. Don't go after shit like Valpo or UIC either.

The conference was already considering moving closer to 14 at some point when the last expansion happened so I don't see them changing course and staying pat at 11.

The only OVC school that plays football that is within the Valley's footprint that would be a decent get for basketball would be UT Martin. Morehead State plays non-scholly football and Little Rock does not play football at all but would really be a stretch geographically for the conference. |
