Thanks for starting this thread squirrel. Definitely missed having this to discuss some of the goings on last season. Was nice to not have to sweat out a final day as to whether Everton would avoid relegation last season.
Speaking of which, this will be the final season of football at Goodison Park. Everton's final home match at the Grand Old Lady will be on the penultimate weekend of the season rather than on Championship Sunday. The club specifically requested this so that the pomp and pageantry of the final match would not be overshadowed by anything going on on Championship Sunday.

I must say I do find it rather humorous that, in recent years, Klopp complained how often Liverpool got slotted in the 12:30 PM UK kickoff time match and the first match they have without him in charge is that kickoff time.

This is a first for me. Start of Everton-Leicester City 2nd half delayed due to lightning in the area near the King Power Stadium.

Thankful that this club has one less thing they'll have hanging over their head:
The new owners also own AS Roma.
Most of the reaction I've seen seems to indicate that they're the type of ownership that will put a lot of their own money into the club, which is definitely needed. Especially with the club set to begin play in the new stadium next season.
