Brian Wardle in his office right now with the door locked, desperately trying to find a way to spin this into disrespect. Yeah, I can bet this is uncomfortable for him. It’s a validation of the work he’s done in a lot of ways, but of course it doesn’t mean much for the season ahead, and it’s a new type of pressure for him and the program as a whole.
This Prove ‘Em’ slogan is a clear indication of the awkward spot they find themselves in. Prove the 45 voters that picked you 1st right?
It's all about the three that DIDN'T pick them first.

It's all about the three that DIDN'T pick them first. Nick Saban could always spin it where the Alabama players were talking about how nobody believed in them. I have confidence in Wardle to do the same.

As I mentioned to one of our esteemed posters, it's really quite brilliant. Prove them right? Prove them wrong? You can use it either way on game by game, week by week basis.

He's already kind of going with "It doesn't mean anything in terms of wins and losses"

It's all about the three that DIDN'T pick them first. And wouldn’t that likely be the Bradley-attached voters not voting for themselves?

If you can't vote for yourself, then did we get 100% of the vote?

I, for one, look forward to the annual tradition of preseason #2 Ben Jacobsen coming into Carver and crapping his pants.

I've never seen a preseason ballot with us #1. Go out and get it boys!! Need at least a couple sophs or unknowns to step up.
Congrats to Duke & Darius on 1st Team honors, well deserved! I expect to see at least one Newcomer and one Most Improved by year's end as well.
Congrats to Zek, too, and welcome back! I really think people are expecting too much from him, but that's OK. With the state of the Valley he probably belongs somewhere on the preseason teams, but it feels like people are expecting him to be Connor+

Here's some disrespect: KenPom's H.U.M.A.N. voting has the Braves at 104. It's a fairly sophisticated methodology, but it's fueled by over 700 voters being fed over 32,000 random matchups and selecting a probable winner. kenpom.com/human_poll.phpHere are the matchups involving Bradley that voters were fed: kenpom.com/human_poll_team.php?t=29

I like how they said Hickman is a "star who went to Cincinnati" but that Leons just "ran out of eligibility." He's in the NBA!

Script home uniforms with no electric blue. I still like them but kinda miss the blue.

The uniforms are cool, but it looks like brand standards have gone out the window on the Hilltop. How do you have 2 shades of red that don't match, neither of which appear to be Bradley's custom Pantone color? Also, this script was great for the throwback unis, but this isn't the official athletics word mark. I also noticed that they include the B-Shield on the back (with the Block B) that doesn't really jive well with the bubble script on the front.

It's like the MBB team did it's own thing with the uniforms without any regard for the university or athletic department standards. Maybe they were given carte blanche to do it. I just wonder if in general anyone in the athletic department is overseeing these things. It used to be somebody's job to do so. If you're going to change the word mark and color, that's fine, it's been done before. However, do it officially. Winging it makes the department look like a middle school or high school where all of the coaches pick their own uniform styles and colors. I mean which team is going with the BU Braves logo this season? Rant over.
