Still too early in deciding who are the teams to truly watch. No doubt The West is going to be crowded with some great teams. Still believe OKC is the team to beat. I wish The Nuggets well but they have zero depth. I'm a big Jokic fan but he will not be able to win the west without a better supporting cast. My surprise team in the west will be GSW. Yea I'm a bit bias, but they have some really great depth. Now will they be able to make that work in the playoffs?
The East IMO, is a two team race with The Celtics and Knicks. The Bucks are going to implode, Philly may be ready to play great ball later in the season once fully healthy, Miami will be Miami but just not good enough and everyone else is a step behind. The surprise team in the east could be The Magic. They're just missing that really great 3 point shooter. I did watch a Wizard game. I like them and how they play but are on the very young stage. They will win quite a few games but most likely looking outside in, to the playoffs. Too bad The Bulls are just not good enough to good and bad enough to get a top draft choice. Mediocre in the NBA is a bad place to be.

The Emirates Cup has started. LA won it last year. I'm surprised how players are really playing hard for the title.
The surprise team so far by a wide margin is the Cleveland Cavalier. I thought they would be good but not playing this good. How long will this great stretch of ball last? As long as Donovan Mitchell is healthy and the supporting cast is balling your answer is as good as mine. Looks like the East for now will be a three team race.
The return of Klay Thompson playing in SF last evening did not disappoint. Curry did his thing to carry GSW over The Mavericks. He scored 12 points in the last 5 minutes. Doncic looked great for the most part but you could see he was gassed for the last 5 minutes of the game. He's still getting in shape after sitting out most of preseason. Irving is playing some of his best ball right now. Dallas once fully healthy will be a top 3 team in the west. I still have OKC if fully healthy as the top team. GSW just may surprise the league by playing 11 players a game and keep winning. Teams are looking weary in the 4th against them. Curry is only averaging 28 minutes a game. From start to finish they're playing hard D and running. A fun brand of basketball.
