This is the window where the MVC is getting more competitive gradually, and we are seeing it. Murray looks pretty good on paper. I think Mullins is deficient in offensive structure and Nagy is proficient, and they are filling out their roster decently to help him get off to a nice start, I think. Nice that we have continuity at Bradley, but hope the staff reconsiders their approach with the final rides. It’s going to be a grind, as it always is. I like the guys Murray has gotten for their backcourt, I like what SIU has done, and I'm pretty impressed with what Graves has done at Indiana State. I am not sure exactly why but I thought they'd have a massive fall and recruiting doesn't exactly show that. Still have to see who meshes well together but it's certainly noticeable. Btw, I miss the emoticon choice ability from the previous board. Yeah, Indiana State is gaining a ton of momentum this week too. Just best to assume that someone else within the MVC will put it together with a top 50ish season, and assume that’s the bar to cross. We’re close to it by virtue of players that played that we convinced to return, and I hate that we’re playing “just the tip” with this situation with the back end of the roster.

14 PPG and about 3 assists a game for Presbyterian last season. 42% from 3.

6-10 Juco transfer to SIU. Spent a year at NMSU, where he didn’t play, and then went the Juco route and committed, then de-committed, from UTEP.
Also another pick-up for Murray State

Didn't Bradley recruit him some out of HS?

Would only be 10th or 11th man at Bradley so wouldn’t have made since to recruit him……

We are fans of the most easily projectable team, and probably a deserved favorite with the returnees we have, but I am not so sure the conference as a whole is taking the massive step back others assume. Probably no top 50’s like Indiana State and Drake but wouldn’t discount a lot of rosters ending up inside or near top 100. I’m bullish on SIU and Murray especially.

Other teams have good coaches who are trying to win. They aren’t just going to throw their hands up and say “man, that Bradley roster is so good we won’t be able to compete” With this recruiting strategy you better be right and kick ass all season. I know because of this past season’s portal disaster we think getting good players who can be a part of a team seems impossible - but it isn’t.

Ebube (SIU) and Cole Henry (UNI) follow their coach from UWGB to Wyoming.

Exactly! The fact that anyone believes this, or worse, that the Head Coach's strategy actually revolves around it is absolutely insane. Replacing 3 guys that contribute nothing on the floor with one that does should be the easiest slam dunk of all time. Instead we waste ALL THREE....AGAIN! It's only true if you make it a self-fulfilling prophecy and stop trying, which is exactly what we did.

I don’t believe that Brian felt like he couldn’t do better; I just think he values a perceived team culture much more than most fans do.
