I don’t believe that Brian felt like he couldn’t do better; I just think he values a perceived team culture much more than most fans do. This is 100% correct. We’ll see how it plays out! I agree. I also wonder if he ran out of slam dunk fits for a roster that's already pretty deep? When you have this type of team coming back, they all get along, ect....I can understand the staff being really picky so as not to upset the team culture they currently have. Plenty of shoes to fill next year and minutes to be had for whoever stays and whoever comes in. This year not so much.

All of this is fine as long as the understanding is 16-4 in the league at a minimum and a title. Anything less would be not reaching expectations. I know high expectations scare some people - but others embrace it. No more “gritty underdog” nonsense.

Exactly! The fact that anyone believes this, or worse, that the Head Coach's strategy actually revolves around it is absolutely insane. Replacing 3 guys that contribute nothing on the floor with one that does should be the easiest slam dunk of all time. Instead we waste ALL THREE....AGAIN! It's only true if you make it a self-fulfilling prophecy and stop trying, which is exactly what we did. I don’t believe that Brian felt like he couldn’t do better; I just think he values a perceived team culture much more than most fans do. Right.. same as dudes suddenly valuing personality more than most Everyone have a fun and safe holiday weekend!! Maybe a recruit will come knocking at our door. ..but at that point I guess I wouldn't call them a "recruit" per se..

I figured I'd put this here... The Eagle has landed. Trey Pettigrew lands in the land of troubled players not living up to their hype -- Eastern Michigan. http://instagram.com/p/C7UgtP_uweC
