Guess we can now consider the 4 new schools in the B1G official:
The song they have always played in this commercial comes a bit of an ear worm after you hear it enough times.
Also, amazing how much they had to speed up the video to get it to fit in within a 30 second spot (though I thought the one that played in the older commercials was 40 seconds).

Illinois, Purdue, Northwestern, Maryland, Rutgers from Big Ten and Vanderbilt from SEC would be current members not included in 32 -team "super league"

Quite the non-answer answer here from the Oregon State president:

UConn and Big 12 in serious discussions regarding the Huskies joining the Big 12 in 2026 for all sports except football, with an option for UConn to improve their football program to a level where the league can exercise an option to add them for football in 2031, when the league's subsequent TV deal will be set to be inked.

Mountain West and Pac-12 did not come to a football scheduling agreement by Sunday's deadline, which means that Oregon State and Wazzu will more than likely be looking at building fully independent schedules for next season.

It looks like the Pac-12 have poached their first 4 schools from the Mountain West:
They would begin conference play in the 2026-27 school year. The Pac-12 would still need to add 2 more conferences to reach the NCAA minimum requirement.

I wonder if Pacific is second-guessing dropping football these days.

So the Pac 12 will become the west coast version of the American Athletic Conference. Good for them. Really, what's the difference between what the Mountain West and what this will be?

The Mountain West is the reason the "play-in" game was created for the Big Dance.

Either he really wanted out of the grind, or he was making a lot less than I would have guessed at ESPN. I would be surprised if the new gig paid much more than $150K.

He purportedly made $35M/$7M per year since 2022 - it was a 5 year deal and only about 65% through - so, it is probably foretells he was going to get axed at ESPN to cut fat.

UNLV now exploring their options and reportedly expected to reengage in conversations with the Pac-12. They had initially agreed to a memorandum of understanding to return to the Mountain West, but that was predicated on all eight remaining schools agreeing to stay. They were set to take a deal from the Mountain West that included it and Air Force receiving a significant lump payment to stay in the league and be one of its linchpins.
