Wow. Sycs lost to SIUE. What a difference a year makes. SIUE was projected in the preseason to finish 3rd in the OVC behind Little Rock and WIU. |

Good start to the day today. Murray, Missouri State, and Indiana State all won as dogs. Unfortunately, Evansville blew a 22 point lead and lost at home to Radford.

SIU wins last night at home against N. Dak St. 69-44. N Dak St. beat future BU opponent Santa Clara earlier this year 88-80 in OT... but they also lost to ISU at home.
The MVC is now 27-17 but only 16-17 against D1 opponents.

Belmont plays very well in the 2nd to win 90-80. Now, Evansville loses to Ohio State 80-30. Believe it or not, after the first 14 minutes of play in the first half, this game was OSU 16 - UE 14. Then over the next 26 minutes OSU went on a 64 to 16 run. Ooooof. |

Today could be a makeup day for the league, with 3 teams starting their holiday tournaments:
Drake takes on Miami FL, also in South Carolina. Miami is a 10-point favorite for betting. Pomeroy says Miami by 8.
UIC faces James Madison in Florida - for betting, Dukes are a 3.5 favorite, but Pomeroy projects UIC wins by a point.
Braves are a 6 point betting favorite, and Pomeroy projects Braves by 4.
Valpo is at home against Lindenwood and the Beacons are a 10.5 point favorite.
It would be great for Drake to get some great games in Charleston.

Drake looking solid...up 10 with 4 minutes to play against Miami...
The three main guys that McCollum brought with him from NW Missouri St (Stirtz, Mascari, and Abreu) are going to make them a pretty tough out right away in the Valley this year. They don't have the athletes that some of the DeVries teams had there, but they are going to outwork and out-fundamental teams to death this year.

Drake pulls off the best win to date, winning 80-69. UIC lost control of it vs James Madison the more it went on.
