Or it's just plane garbage, Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk It says updated through Sunday. Although I think you are right in that it actually is not the ranking. They probably just kept last season's final as a starting point, and just plugging in new results, but without a clean break between seasons, if that makes sense. So yes, garbage.

On paper we're stronger then Drake. I like the way our guys are playing and it is still our regular season title to lose. If we defend the way we're capable, limit turnovers, dictate pace and shoot just well not great, there's no team in the Valley that should be able to beat us. On a rare occasion there are teams that have great shooting nights, we can lose. The odds tend to even out during a season.

We seem to be doing a lot better not turning the ball over ….. hope that continues. The D is the next thing we need to improve….. I think this staff and players can do that . We will see !!!!’ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well any good feelings from the weekend just evaporated as SIU and Illinois State both choked late leads against some decent competition.

Drake looking solid...up 10 with 4 minutes to play against Miami... The three main guys that McCollum brought with him from NW Missouri St (Stirtz, Mascari, and Abreu) are going to make them a pretty tough out right away in the Valley this year. They don't have the athletes that some of the DeVries teams had there, but they are going to outwork and out-fundamental teams to death this year. I don't doubt that Drake will be better than expected, but Miami is not that good this year. They will finish in the lower half of the ACC. I stand corrected on Drake, they are better than I expected. However, they have an early season advantage of playing players who have previously played together and achieved success, much like Bradley. I think our players are better and our ceiling higher than Drake's, and I expect Drake to fade some as the season progresses.

Valley goose egg as the league goes 0-4 on the day. SIU and ISU both let fairly big leads in the 2nd half erode. Also, Elliott for SIU is out for the year with a torn ACL.

Bradley and Drake can still make things interesting and make a long shot push for 2 bids. They have to separate and dominate the league. Preferably the Braves win the league as Drake's resume rankings will likely be higher, generally, even as a runner-up.
Drake needs to get to Christmas still unbeaten:
11/30 vs. Georgia Southern 12/5 @ Valpo 12/12 vs. St. Ambrose 12/17 vs. Kansas State (in Kansas City) 12/21 vs. Green Bay

SLU dodges a buzzer-beater from UMass Lowell that would have forced OT. Didn't release it in time.

In the MVC tonight...Evansville had a 3 ball in the air at the buzzer to beat Murray St...at Murray St... but the shot didn't go in. Murray squeaks out the victory.
