Certainly helps that Texas State is struggling with shotmaking, but it’s been the tightest I’ve seen Bradley so far in terms of defensive positioning. Turnovers still look like a limiting factor but they are staying between man, ball and hoop really well so far.

Texas State is missing but also taking hard shots. Just be disciplined in the second half and win this one going away.

Our guys have stayed disciplined and not jumping after them for the most part. Now again, KEEP THE FOKT IN THE GAS OUT OF THE LOCKER ROOM!!

It would be nice to beat a team by 25+ simply for the metrics, but we are prone to having a lull. There was a moment in the first half where we had 3 questionable calls in a row against us and they scored 5 points, but I feel like we’re due for them to go on a run. Hope to be proven wrong.

Absolutely awesome half from Davis…Zek had a really good start to get us going. Hannah was really good too…it was nice to see him get 6 rebounds and a block in the first half. Meta with an impressive dunk and 7 rebounds.
Connor Dillon is really gonna struggle to defend anyone at this level…he is absolutely incapable of fighting through/over screens on that end…he gets completely eliminated every time he runs into a screen…and that’s just not gonna work.

I don't usually listen to the radio call, but because of the time start I was listening in the car. I believe I heard Dave say we had a player named "Hannah Davis" and relate a story about a bug infested hotel room and dirty shower curtain.

If BU makes any of those wide open threes at the beginning of the second half or thier free throws midway though, this doesn't become a ballgame.
It wasn't pretty in the second half, but they survived & advanced.

Duke Deen rolled an ankle after the game was already decided and was left in. Limping through the handshake line.

They only had 9 turnovers. Sure felt like more to me, but single digits is a great result especially with the way the game flow went in the 2nd. Glad Thomas got a spell. Burch is missed, and if he’s where I think he is with his game, I have hopes that fits like a puzzle piece once the rust knocks out. If I am right there, and Thomas can stay in the right headspace and learn and develop some in the year, there is some depth there. I shouldn’t be at this point, but amazed that Hannah developed yet again and appears to be a legitimate 3 point shooter. I hope we get Princeton tomorrow. Would be a very tough test, but we need that matchup IMO with the rest of the slate how it is, and the MVC being so uncertain to this point.

Saw a few things out of Johnson that concern me. But, he is a Freshman.

Maybe one of these days we will put 2 halves together. Really impressed with CD’s growth. He is really filling into a Malevy “light” role. Also Darius’ shooting growth is absolutely remarkable. When he was a freshman you had to don a hard hat when he went to the line. Now it’s more of a shock when he misses than when he makes it. Kudos to him for working hard on his game and developing into the player he has become.

Yeah, he is fearless. He is definitely a freshman, and for that reason I wasn’t expecting much, but he is more ready for the level of play than I imagined.

One really nice thing about this team is the ability for any of 5-6 guys to have a big game and win one for you. That phrase gets thrown around a lot but between Zek, Duke, Darius, Davis and Almar two of them could struggle but there is a good chance one of the others gets 15+ on a given night.

I think it’s old man problems. He went down immediately and had to be helped off the court by the trainer… He was back for handshakes so that’s a good sign.
